At ROBOT-ROBOT's test studio we demonstrated Motion Control scale with our Bolt Jr+ on track and FLAIR Software. Scaling is one of the many uses of Motion Control systems like ours. We filmed a largish (large for our space anyway) move with a dancer and then made a scaled down shot of arranged Pepsi cans, a 13:1 ratio difference in space and movement size. Done correctly it looks like it all happened in one environment. In the FLAIR software this is a 2 point scaled move as you measure a distance from set points the beginning and the end of the move along with camera height and FLAIR gracefully does he math after that. There are other details of course. I thought a dancer dancing across a row of giant Pepsi cans would be illustrative enough example. Christian Clark, our performer, was sport enough to come to my studio and freestyle dance for a few hours. In this clip edit you can see how the camera and robot follows the same programmed path on both setups, at scaled ratio. Christian Clark dances across a green screen background with a table. The cans, on a black surface with an orange background, get spritzed (by me) and sit there, sweating while the camera moves along it's programmed path. #motioncontrol #freestyledance #cinematography #visualeffects #compositing #BTS #ROBOT-ROBOT#FLAIR #boltmotionicontrol #boltjr+ #phantomVEO #visualengineering #tabletopstudio #ads #Pepsi #Pepsishoot #Strange #dancing #musicals #lovemusicals #lovecommercials #miniaturephotography #cameracontrol #MRMOCO #Christianclark #freestyle #productphotography
